Being cheap doesn't mean you don't have fun. One of my favorite Groupon is the one with Castle Fun Park at Abbotsford. It is $25 for $50 worth of fun.
https://www.groupon.com/deals/castle-fun-park-4 The best deal would be to get the Groupon when they have $10 off $25 deals. Their park is well maintained and the prices for the games are reasonable. They use a "play" card which keeps track of your stored value and points that you may get with games. There is no more wasting tickets for prizes. There are two outdoor mini-putt courses with two indoor ones too. I prefer the inside ones. Bumper cars, go karts, batting cages, and even bowling. Of course, the prizes are just so-so, but overall the kids have fun and that counts the most. Good cheap fun... what more can you ask?

Being cheap, I decide on evaluating my web site after neglecting it for so long. I find that I am paying to host a Wordpress site which is barely being used. I am better off using a free service. So if you are wondering why some of those posts are so old, now you know. It is basically the content from my old blog moved over.
I hope to have some more free time to update this from time to time... we shall see. The best time to go to Whistler is just before peak time. We went before December 15 which makes it easier for us to find deals. With Groupon, we got rooms for less than $100 for 4 people near the village. We went to the Olympic Park for affordable fun in the snow. There are near by local parks which you can go to let kids enjoy the fun for cheap. Happy Holidays!
Make sure to upgrade your Microsoft Skydrive to 25GB. Also get the Google Drive which is another 5GB worth of space. Dropbox maybe on the way out with these two behemoths playing.
